Is it Spring or is it Winter?

I know the calendar says that it is spring but mother nature has something else in mind!  Today we woke up to about 5 inches of snow!  The kids were thrilled but I on the other hand not so much!  I am so over this winter I could scream.  I am just ready to be able to go outside and let these kids burn off all the energy they have.  I am praying this is it and there will be no more snow.  But while I hate it the kids loved it and luckily Rusty stayed home so they were able to play in it this time!

Jaden was done after about an hour and decided it was time for her favorite winter treat, hot chocolate!

Last week during another night of snow flurries, our neighbors "egged" us in the good way.  There was a note on the door saying there was 12 eggs hidden in the yard.  Unfortunately I didn't find the sign until 8:00.  But we bundled up and headed outside with flashlights to find our eggs.  The kids had a blast while I was freezing!

Since it has been so stinking cold we have been spending a lot of time indoors driving each other crazy!  We have tried to keep ourselves entertained!  We have had playdates, crafts and just crazy fun!

We did have two days in there where the weather was actually pretty nice.  I think nature was just teasing me!  We spent both of those days outside the whole time.  We even talked daddy into going to the zoo!

We went to the mall and Jaden decided she wanted to have her picture made with the Easter bunny.  Warren seemed pretty excited and was waving at the bunny.  Once it was their turn he wanted nothing to do with it!  Jaden went first and I thought Warren would join her, wrong!  I set his stroller beside the rabbit and he got as far as he could from him!  I was right beside him the whole time.  Things are not looking so good for our trip to Disney in a few months!  I think there is going to be a lot of tears on his part!

Jaden was pretty thrilled when she got her new ballet outfits.  And of course she had to model them!

3 month Doctors visit!

Warren had his 3 month home check up this week.  The doctor just wanted to check on his development since he came home so delayed.  In the little over 3 months since he has been home he has gained 2 1/2 pounds and grown 1 inch!  He weighs 35.5 pounds, which is .5 lb more than his older sister.  And he is 34.5 inches tall!  Jaden was not happy that he weighed more than her because she thought that meant he was older then her!  She was ok after I explained he was still 2!    The doctor was very pleased with Warren's development and said he was not ahead developmentally!  Because of this we don't have to go back to the doctor until he turns 3!  Of we will be dealing with the ortho doctor for the next few months so that will keep us busy!
I am so amazed at Warren and how far he has come in the little bit of time we have had him.  He is a funny, strong, loving boy and I am so glad we were blessed to have him join our family!

A Snow Day! And a little Extra!

This morning the kids were thrilled to wake up to the sight of snow!

After Warren was done with speech therapy I layered them up in their snow gear for some outdoor fun!

While the kids love the snow I am DONE!  I have decided that this is the LAST snow of the season!  There will be no more I am just sure of it!  I am so sure that I took this pile...
and put it all in the washing machine so I could put it up for the winter!  I am sure that will keep the snow at bay till next year!
Besides the snow we have been keeping busy.  Warren has been having his weekly speech therapy which he loves.  The minute she dives up he starts screaming "play"!  I love it because it gives me an hour break!
Jaden has been busy with her ballet which she of course still loves!  I don't know what we will do this summer because she will miss it so much!

Her recital is in June and she can't wait to wear her costume!

Warren's OT prescribed him a trampoline to help burn off some of his energy.  Unfortunately I was not the one who ordered it and once it was put together I was a little shocked at the size!  The kids love it.  Luckily Rusty never finished the dining room so it is in there for the time being!

We have had a few playdates with friends of course!

I finally decided to get the sewing machine back out a make Jaden a few outfits.  It is not easy with a wild 2 year old running around!

And last week after a long whiny day I decided to spice up bath time!  I told them it was going to be a special bath, they were pretty fired up!

We turned the lights off and had a glow in the dark bath!  I think they stayed in the water for 45 minutes!  They were both wrinkled when they got out!
