LID!!!

Well I am shocked to say that we have our LID! 6/21/2012! That's right only 6 days after we were DTC! We were DTC on 6/15 and we got the email on 6/20 saying it was delivered to CCCWA and now today I got the email that we were LID! So happy. One step closer to our little man. Now we are counting down to LID!

Delivered!

I got the email today that our dossier has been delivered to CCCWA today! (AKA China) Now we are just waiting for the email that we have an LID. It could take up to three weeks but I am hoping that we get a speedy one like a friend did. I am hoping that we get LID Friday! You never know! And I have to send a big thank you out to my great friend Kelley who took Jaden and I out for ice cream to celebrate our DTC! She has been down this road a couple of times and knows how big a deal DTC is! I had a great time and Jaden had a blast playing with the girls!

D T freaking C!!!

I can finally say that our dossier is on it's way to China!!! Just a few weeks later than planned but at least it is on it's way! It is only fitting that it leave today, the Friday before Father's day because 3 years ago on the Friday before Father's day I got the call that our referral for Jaden was at our agency and we would get the info that Monday! So we are one more step closer to our little man! A pretty big step at that. Now for LID!

Drowning my sorrows...

I have been pretty down in the dumps since we got the bad new about our dossier this week. So I decided I needed to drown my sorrows in the only way I legally could with a three year old in tow! :-) So today Jaden and I decided to go on a little shopping trip. I have been pretty good about not buying many clothes for Warren because I learned my lesson with Jaden. I bought tons of clothes, a lot of which were small and then I was referred a giant Chinese baby! She may have been 8 months when she came home but she never wore anything smaller than 18 months. So for Warren I am waiting. I have bought a few shirts which I am buying in 3T but I only but them on sale. So today I decided we needed to send another care package to Warren so off to Toys R Us we went. I found three summer shirts and Jaden picked out three toys for him. Of course we also go some snacks for Warren and his friends!

After that we headed to the mall for lunch and just a little more shopping. I decided now was the perfect time to get Warren's coming home outfit! We did it for Jaden so we have to do it for Warren too. Jaden had a red, white and blue dress so Warren had to have something red, white and blue. Of course with July 4th just around the corner now was the best time so off to Gymboree we went! I found two shirts I liked so he can wear one to the Consulate and one at the airport when we get home!

Now onto the progress on the Dossier. The courier now has my birth certificate and will be taking it to the Consulate and then it will be overnighted to my agency once it has been authenticated. My homestudy agency finally called and they found my letter's of reference and they are on the way to the agency today. So if all goes as planned our agency should have everything by Thursday at the latest and we should be DTC next Friday! Let's all hope and pray that happens!!!

Just when things were looking good...

Well the plan was to finally be DTC this week. I guess plans are meant to be broken because it's not happening! Our agency called yesterday to say we had a few issues. The first one being that Rusty's passport was not signed. No biggie he could sign it and we could email a copy to them. Of course it's pretty funny that this is the same passport that Rusty went to China on and no one ever noticed it was not signed! Oh well easy fix. The second problem is that since we have started the process they now require the Homestudy agency to notarize the letters of reference and our agency had not sent them. So HOPEFULLY they will forward those onto our adoption agency ASAP! And the final problem which of course had never happened before was that the Consulate had authenticated a copy of my birth certificate and not the original! We have no idea where the original is and can only guess that it is at the Consulate and our courier refuses to ask them is they have it! So now we are starting over with the Birth certificate! Because my mother is so WONDERFUL she got a new birth certificate issued and got it certified by the Secretary of State withing 3 hours of me getting the call from our agency! Thanks Mom!!! Today she overnighted it all to the courier and she will have it by tomorrow. Once it is authenticated correctly we hope, it will be forwarded to my adoption agency. The agency has let me know that once they have everything it will be sent to China! So if everything goes the way it should we should be DTC the end of next week! Please let that happen!

We have a party animal on our hands!

I was so happy to get an email from my new friend Kim who is also adopting from Zhoukou and from the same agency and we are on the same timeline!!! We are both hoping to travel together to get our cuties. This morning she got an email with tons of pictures of her little girl Lucy at her birthday party. And lucky for me one of the little party guests just happened to be Warren! I now have 25 more pictures of our little guy!

From the looks of it he is not a fan of the birthday candle!

I am so thankful for these pictures! Thank you Kim! After seeing these pictures, especially the ones of him throwing a fit(which I did not post) I think they may be right when they described him as being naughty! Boy are we gonna have our hands full with this one!

Dossier complete!!!

I am so relieved to say that my Dossier is now finished! As a matter of fact it is on the way to Colorado right now and the agency should have it by 10:30 tomorrow! I am so relieved to be done. Now we will wait for our agency to send our Dossier to China. (I have high hopes that will be Friday!) Of course I had to take pictures of all the paperwork that I have been working on for the last few months!

And of course I had to take a picture of Jaden holding all the paperwork in the Fed-ex envelope before it left our hands!

Oh and one last picture of Jaden after she ate the Kit Kat she got for being so good while mommy made a million copies of the dossier!

And now I am going to sit back and relax for a few days! I think I deserve it!
